Will VR Be Beneficial Or Just the Opposite

Virtual reality is a technology that is able to simulate mental and physical experiences in a way that mocks reality. It has surpassed being just an idea and now there are affordable headsets all over the world being offered by several multibillion-dollar companies.

Look at the Oculus Rift

One example of this would be the Oculus Rift headset which was developed and released by Facebook. It’s an affordable option for more people to be able to experience what it is like to virtually escape their temporal and physical realities and totally engage in whatever fantasies they may want. People can teleport into a whole new universe by using this technology.

The Adult Entertainment Benefits Greatly

Many people believe that this technology is going to completely revolutionize the adult entertainment industry and they may be right. It has been said that virtual reality is going to be a whole new era of communicating. Over $6 billion in investments have been given to VR companies in order to get this era going.

VR Won’t Be Going Away

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, was able to get a taste of what the Oculus Rift can do in March of 2014 at Stanford. In the Virtual Human Interaction Lab he was able to don an Oculus Rift headset and then experience what it would be like for a senior citizen to walk over a deep pit on a narrow plank. Needless to say, the technology impressed him.

Bailenson, the founding director of Stanford’s Virtual Human Interaction lab, is the person behind the amazing technology that Zuckerberg got to test drive. It is said that Bailenson believes technology makes the whole world a better place which may be what is giving him the motivation to produce and release virtual reality technology. If all goes well with this endeavor then people will be able to indulge in their craziest VR & AR fantasies from the comfort of their own homes.
